Join our growing landscaping company as an experienced Hardscape Installer! We’re looking for skilled professionals who take pride in their work and want to build beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients.

What You’ll Do

Install retaining walls, pavers, travertine, and natural stone
Prepare base materials, grade sites, and set proper drainage
Operate equipment such as a dingo, skid steer, and compactors
Read plans and execute jobs with attention to detail and craftsmanship
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite (safety vests, cones, PPE required)
Work closely with your Team Leader and crew to deliver top-quality results

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of hardscape installation experience
Strong knowledge of base prep, compaction, and installation techniques
Ability to operate small machinery and power tools safely
Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in all weather conditions
Valid driver’s license a plus

Environment

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, and kneel, and the ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally. This position is regularly exposed to all weather conditions. Physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt are present due to the equipment. This position routinely uses heavy machinery and lawn tools. This position requires local, day travel.

What You’ll Do

As a Lawn Maintenance Crew Member, you’ll work with a team to maintain and improve client properties, including:

Mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing lawns
Weed eating and creating clean, crisp lines along sidewalks, curbs, and beds
Mulching, leaf cleanup, pruning, and general landscape care
Assisting with sod installation, seasonal flowers, and property enhancements
Operating landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) safely
Wearing PPE and following all safety guidelines
Helping keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and ready for the next job

What We’re Looking For

Positive, dependable, hardworking team player
Able to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions

Salary Range $16.00 – $25.00 Hourly

Position Summary

The Turf Tech Trainee is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training and foundational knowledge of Coldwater Landscapes’ turf care operations. Trainees will work closely with experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of turf management, equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer communication.

This position is the first step toward becoming a fully qualified Turf Technician. The training program includes one-on-one instruction, in-field observation, and supervised practice to build confidence and technical ability. Upon successful completion of training, the trainee may advance to the position of Turf Technician I.

Responsibilities

This work may include, but is not limited to:

Completing the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) Lawn Care Technician Training Program and all assigned Paycom learning modules.
Participating in a two-week ride-along rotation with experienced team members to gain practical knowledge of day-to-day operations.
Learning and demonstrating safe operation of turf equipment, including backpack sprayers, push spreaders, pump and tank sprayers, and Permagreen units.
Navigating and utilizing the Real Green app for routes, production tracking, and service documentation.
Identifying common turf types, weeds, and pests and learning appropriate treatment methods.
Properly handling, mixing, and applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides under supervision.
Assisting with the preparation of job materials and ensuring trucks and equipment are properly stocked.
Maintaining all tools and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
Understanding and following company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and vehicle operation standards.
Communicating professionally with customers and team members.

Participating in crew and department safety meetings as directed.
